Hard candy breaks my teeth
As I try to eat
No matter how sweet
Shattered lively hood
Crumbles before me
Falling past my lips onto the counter
Rolling towards the edge
Where free falling
It hits the floor
And bounces once or twice
Maybe one time more
And lies flat on its existence
Never to heal
Only to rot for another sun rise
While things around it twitch
At the light it lies flat on its existence.
Never to move
This is what we call death.
