There, on the edge of the Midnight river,
her cares get washed away.
Crystal clear, the endless current,
rides through the misty bay.

Through the fog, a tiny tear,
falls softly down her cheek.
For many years, she's nursed her wounds,
and fought through being week,

In the heart of the forest there,
she'll find that which she seeks.
Watching the tiny insects dance
Across the sky in streaks.

No secrets, no disguise,
No more fury in her eyes,
No deception, no more lies,
Just the glow of fireflies
