i met my irish angel in dear old dublin town
with her big blue eyes and her hair so brown
a smile upon her face when she looked at me
the lovelight in her eyes i could plainly see

we would walk together beneath the moon above
with each step we took the more i fell in love
we would count the stars shining in the sky
count them one by one they were passing by

everything so peaceful made me feel so free
i knew when we met she was meant for me
an angel of my own sent from up above
sent down here to me sent for me to love

we would walk together beneath the moon so bright
holding hand in hand as we passed away the night
we would count the stars shining in the sky
count them one by one they were passing by

with a loving smile all across her face
sent the soul in me to a dfferent place
with her eyes so blue and her hair so brown
my angel from above i met in dublin town
