In April, when the sun colors spring

Tragedy had befallen me

As I met you under that moonlight song

By the purple lilacs, we danced so merrily along

They say ignorance is bliss

But how can we ignore that cat's hiss

My dear, whisper one more time

Over the fence to the other garden

Oh, that lovely goodbye

goodbye
