transmitted across miles,
sharing abilities and ideas.

Feelings and emotions,
passion, anger, excitement,
sadness, hate, rage,
all combined in shared minds.

The hive, the cluster,
an uncomfortable inclusivity,
a sacrifice of the self, and privacy,
but better than being alone.

One truly is the lonliest number,
whether in person,
or with silent thoughts,
the voices keep us from being so.
