Dream?

Walking trees and quivering ice
Green and purple balding mice
yellow sun drops from the sky
scalding all the birds that fly
rainbow pieces falling up
drinking from a shattered cup
laughing at the moon gone mad
dancing peacocks looking sad
the world is melting in your gaze
you're lost in orange and lemon haze
frogs are flying flowers sing
All around the music rings
making splatters on the ground
Down is up and up is down
From a giant's head you leap
and then you finally fall asleep
Found the notebook journal we were required to keep for a poetry class. In a nearby page is a notation: Ch. 9 "Surrealism" is FUN! Then a bit later: "a lot of my favorite songwriters have a surrealistic quality to their lyrics." I don't remember the above, but had a good laugh when I came across it today!
