Outsiders.
Odd situations when we try to surpass
our own expectations
expecting a little bit more than being shown once
again the door,
I know what doors look like and
I don't need to be shown one.
Tell the truth they told me only to
scold me when I did,
a case of do as I say and not as you want.
My coat hides despair
that's why I keep it buttoned
and
witness my own prosecution.
Limbo is where we go when
no one wants us,
it's the place in-between
where we've been
and
where we want to be,
but it's lonely
here.
interconnecting events that prevent
me from leaving while breathing,
holding my breath
while they're holding the door
open.
