The sweet lemony essence of the perfume  hurls me back to the past
A faded remembrance of a ‘gift’ unravels from old memories of dust.
I don’t remember the exact day, but it was my first ever date,
A thrilling perseverance of wishing you from my fate.
Sweetheart, my first love ! you meant the world to me
I only wished our togetherness whenever and whatever needs be

I sincerely wished for the sweet memories only, erasing the rest
But they always come flooding my senses throbbing my chest
My little love story with you was over plunging me into dismay
I scorched my past to stop the memories blocking my way.

But the fragrance remained dormant deep within my heart
Only to come back with a jolt of memories to start.
