The ferry's late, we missed the last,
Running fast,
Now in the harbour, tickets clipped
Cars first, lorries and buses ****,
Passengers climb the rickety gangway
Looking down, into the murky brown,
Bags and suitcases against legs
Children scramble  ahead
Upstairs on the deck
Drinking coke
Smelling the air
Seagulls alight
We are alright
On our way over the Solent sway
The Isle Of Wight is in sight
Delight!

Love Mary x
Thank you IOW for all our holidays and thank you my Roger and children for making it such good fun.***
