I WILL SHINE AGAIN
I stood watching
as she walked away
Dumbfounded by
the reason she gave
She wanted me
but preferred the other
If only she knew
what she missed
As a prince I have pride too
I knew she was just a
messed up kid in the hood
As I stood there watching
I already know I won't
see her ever again
But another is waiting
For what you lose on the swing,
you gain on the roundabout
I am a prince
I am my mothers child
My fathers very own
I am precious
I am a mystery to be unraveled
I am the sun
I will shine again.
