Hypnotized by bouncing stars
Flashing red and blue
The more you leave a certain place
The less you’ll lose
But if you’re going nowhere
Stick around for awhile
Use your fist as a gun
And carousel your desires
We might clench our teeth
And knock some elbows
But who knew that dreams could be
Transferred between our toes
Now the star’s moving on
Returning to its white
But I swore I felt something
Emanate from its light
A high frequency cricket dance
A gust of Kansas wind
And suddenly I was one-
One with the earth again
