I've been told to get over it
to just ignore the bitter hatred
to be happy
and  I guess its about time

I've finally escaped the darkness
but I haven't been happy
I be written plenty of things
and none of them have been happy

I've been told to be happy
but how can I be happy
when all i know is sorrow
and heartbreak

but now I've realized
it is time to be happy!
I'm tired of letting them get me down
so now I'm getting told to be happy

and I say
"YES."
