I thought I heard you laughing,
I thought I heard you scream.
I thought I heard you say my name
But it was all a dream.
I thought I saw the morning break,
I thought I saw a bird in flight.
I thought I saw the sun wake up,
But I was being taunted by the night.
I thought I felt your skin on mine,
I thought I felt you sighing.
I thought I felt your breath on me,
But it was just my desperation crying.
And through the snow I saw a light,
Burning slow yet burning bright.
And in that moment I then knew,
That I was now entrapped in you.
