I questioned you with pleading eyes;
you gave me truths, I gave you lies,
because of me our trust now dies,
and it is me you now despise.

I look at you through teary haze;
you don't return my saddened gaze.
My feelings nothing but a maze,
I go about my silent days.

You continue on with graceful ease,
ignoring my incessant pleas.
With one motion my heart you seize,
I'm locked away leaving you the keys.

You are an angel in my eyes,
my golden trophy, my perfect prize;
I thought we couldn't break the ties,
but it's too late to apologize.
