I stair step her gravel studded curb
Southern evergreens poise as the sky releases liquid sugar
Pine , magnolia and wild onion ambrosia lays heavy
on brittle , brown broomsage
Polished steel imprisons the wail of countless -
journeys , mechanical rivers teeming with
paradigm tales of frosty morning adventures ,
mechanical junctures , billowing steam collecting
o’er planted river bottom , tortured iron screaming
supplication at the very hour of dawn* …
