Slumber in the Summer
There is so much to tell you
before I wake and with the ongoing
countdown of patient fingers, one
by thirteen days left in our time apart
the heart allows a small smile
for how time has sped along and led us to
where we need to dream, where we
need to be
and you stitch up my world
like a soft winter scarf, warm
and woolen, beautiful and
all your own
One week and one half.
