Thump.
Skip.
Thump.
Skip.
Skip.
Thump.

Pain flows through my chest.
Washing away the seconds and minutes.
Time Stops.
And the clock no longer ticks.
One more moment.
One last breath.
Lungs shrivel.
And blood freezes.
I sense her
Death.
Awaiting, Assuring, Strong.
Then the moment bursts.
A hand grenade.
A home-made bomb.
Life flashes back
And time ticks on.
