She was like
A well-manicured lawn
He was like uncut hedges
With lots of rough edges
But they say that
Opposites attract
And they certainly do
As a matter of fact

Most girls wouldn’t have
Given him a chance
But she liked the idea
Of a romance
And so they got together
Promising to weather
Anything that came their way
Something that the inexperienced say

It’s like they say
You live and learn
Cos their romance
Took an awful turn
At first in subtle ways
They couldn't discern
But eventually kindling wood
Will burn

It’s two years later
And she hasn’t been found
He’s suspected
Word gets around
Some swear her body’s
Six feet down
Buried somewhere in the ground
