mom
You tell a funny story from my childhood
Your eyes light up
Your smile is genuine
I can feel the warmth radiating off of you
Like I had when I was a baby, and I would fall asleep on your chest, only when I could feel your breath against my head.
Like the fireplace in the living room of my old home, cozy and familiar.
You recall every detail.
For a moment, we live in this memory.
For a moment, you are here.
