The side-road of life
I take,  not its main thoroughfare
an outsider lost in inclement time
unfettered by either here or there-

to loneliness I was born-- none to blame
melancholy's tears I so often share
walking unnoticed my freedom I've found
without bitterness every sorrow I bear.
