losing it all

everyday

every night

every second

every millisecond

every granule of sand

every
balled up fist

every flowing river

every earthquake

every tsunami

every ticking clock
losing it all

losing the spirit

and the color

losing the trust and the understanding

losing the sense
and self-worth

losing the passion
and respect

and the dignity

and gratitude

losing it allΒ Β gradually
as the worms
consume

the detritus of life that I so fondly cherished
