"Sky Master"

the falls kept breaking
one by one
he was good at it

sky master black king
egg by egg
dropped from no height

of any measure
just from where the nest was
was far enough

fierce enough to override
paternal care with fear
instinct for offspring
one level below self preservation

bewildered parents flee
regrettably
with angry caw like tears

the magpie magistrate
of the to small field
slaughterer of innocents
delivers a less competitive sky
to his incubating brood
