A Fellow Dying Soul
Lonely tree outside my window
What few leaves are left fluttering in the breeze
It's days like this that torment you most
Not rain or snow or fog, but windy
Your weak branches struggle to flex in the wind
Like the used to do so long ago
And with each new storm
You lose another branch
Lonely tree outside my window
A skeleton of your former self
