The air was pure
The sun just set
Shades of purple
Faded to black

A sliver horned moon
Appeared in the sky
Revealed by thick clouds
As they sailed in the night

I could see the darkness
Of the unlit moon
The ocean of storms
And the craters of time

In felt for a moment
That my gaze was returned
By similar wondering eyes
Somewhere in the shadow

Of the sliver horned moon
