Hello farm bell
A little past your prime
A bit of rust around the edges
Once a beloved , necessary
tool of the ploughland
Now buried in the ravages of -
neglect and time
You still stand tall however , rain or shine ,
collecting snow in January , sweltering
in July
Your tolling brought a family together
Alerted a determined farmer of -
approaching stormy weather
Provided a backdrop for -
many a family photo
You hold a special place in my heart
I just wanted you to know* ...
