I joked " that's mine "
you throw it down
you stomp away
you slam the door

" I'm kidding " I shout
you're silent
you're distant
you laugh no more

" grow up " I scream
temper rising
Anger growing
I walk away

" grow up " I repeat
to myself
to my inner child
that spoiled today
Arguing with my daughter over a sausage roll, how quickly a joke can become a row. Childish I know but I hate myself all the same for losing my temper.
