I withstood her merciless beatings that were timely like lunch breaks. She started with a ball bat till it broke across my impressionable elbow, which is why I can't hold a coke spoon without my neighbor's help. One day, when she was whipping my sister with a curtain rod, I snuck out to buy mommy a Happy Mommy Day card from K-Mart, but K-Mart was Sears so I cried, and cried, till a security guard tased me for causing a disturbance even though they only had 7 customers, of which 6 were shoplifters anyway. ~ The End
