Mom
My mother is the sunrise in the morning.
Her presence lights up the room when she walks in.

My mother is the earth.
She sacrifices her whole being just so that others
Can roam around her as they please.

My mother is an oak tree in October.
Slowly hurting but more beautiful than ever.
Even when her leaves fall
She perseveres through the hard times
And continues to stand tall.
