the end is the end
is the end is the end

that's what i tell myself to
stay grounded.
back on earth,
back in reality,
into dust.

doing this while questions
loom
is questionable itself
but i've always been the type
to put up a
wall
before it's needed.

the problem with that
is sometimes
it isn't needed.
and you're stuck
there
alone
beneath a long shadow
with no one and nothing around you.
