Oct 2017
the sea never tires of rising and falling
she breathes in and out, in and out
like the great lungs of the Earth
oxygenated a great watery creature
from whence all creatures came forth
and learned to breathe and move and
have their being and creep about her depths
until finally she spewed some out her belly
and they became her eyes and ears on land
but they forgot in time their great mother
and now she lays waste, poisoned and
empty of life, a dead toxic graveyard.
