Broken Promises
broken promises lined you lips
as you spoke out more
your promises are like a drug
they make everything okay
but only for a moment
leaving me even more broken
your tongue spits out fire
burning the skin on my heart
you give me fear
to ever fall in love again
to ever make a promise again
