He
He has your heart locked in a cage.
He painted the bars with acid so that prison seems preferable.
A caged bird sings they say, but not you dear.
They have judged your off key voice one too many times it hurts.
You feel like ripping it out of your chest
The idiot who denies you freedom
But it's not your heart's fault.
He is your nostalgic love.
His love and attention beats anything money or freedom can buy.
Happily kidnapped as you wipe your tear with a dry smile.
While another waterfall drips out the other eye.
Getting over an almost perfect ex-lover.
