Because the wind gave waves to her long brown hair
While the ocean lay silent
No secrets to bare

And the air smelled of salt, and of love, and of light
From the fireflys dancing
All night after night

Because darkness brought dreams to her settling head
Places warm and unheard of
As she lie in her bed
