Untitled
I stand on the edge of the dock
Dark water lit by a full moon
Crisp air, broken by the bellows of a bullfrog
I can't look away.
Black glass
Fish tails leave ripples like cracks in a mirror
I can't see myself
I can't hear you
Only the bullfrog
You step closer
I hide in the looking glass
Shattering the surface
I stand in a new world
Lit only by the moon
No air, no sound
I am trapped
I look to the surface
Little fish swim together, silent yet beautiful
I can see myself, distorted
I can't hear you
Or the bullfrog
You try to reach me
Now all I see is red
Stuck forever, under the surface
