~
And as you travel
Halfway around the world
I sit alone at home
And remember the time
When you first kissed me.
Swaying on the dance floor
Our bodies intertwined.

Actually, that’s a lie.
I kissed you first.
For every second that went by
Without your lips pressed to mine
Was another moment I was dying.

I know I made you a promise
That I wouldn’t put my life on hold.
But how can I continue on
As though everything were the same
When the moment that I met you
Everything changed.
