Struggles that was America’s past
A Civil Rights voice determined having no defeat
Forces that were the superior be said one must retreat
One such person was **** Gregory who stood firm on his feet
Justice having equality for all Races being **** Gregory’s call
There wasn’t going to a succumbed fall
But there was yet another side of **** Gregory, and it was the message of robust Health in not being like everybody else
Mr. Gregory felt devoted and a mission that it became
Living a long life being the aim
Mr. Gregory lived a long and fulfilled life
Wisdom and understanding was his advice
He put his trust in God
Heaven looked down and smiled

But the chariot had pulled up
Heaven’s reply, “It’s time to go home”
Your steps had gotten slower and slower
You put up a good fight
But now you are in Heaven’s spotlight
**** Gregory, your name is known throughout the world
Memories upon memories of hearts you swirl
Your soul is now with the Lord
But you message to all your fans below
“Don’t cry and be sad”
I am rejoicing in Heaven now
I fulfilled my work back on Earth
Today Heaven is my new birth
Forget me not, but remember who
I am **** Gregory, a name the world knew.
