When I escaped at first I was happy, but afraid,
Freedom's furry tail rubbed my ego back into the ether.
As a solo traveller my new path had been laid,
Doubtless I needed no companion either.
But then you returned from outer space,
Out of sight but never out of my mind.
You stole my heart and left no trace,
And now I've left the solo life behind.
