I expect I'd better go
do some shopping
make a show,
but I'd rather just say no
and stay in bed.

The rain has stopped
though it's still wet,
I'll get my
umber umbrella
which is red in colour
hence the umber,
this I tell her.

I could stay in bed and
slumber,
but I'm going shopping.

Procrastinate,
she says,
I'll wait, she says, some more
standing by the door with her
mackintosh and hopefully a
purse filled with more dosh
than I've got in my pockets.

Saturday is not the day
or rather it is a day
but not the way to
carry on
I carve a track to Asda
and back,

Indiana eat your heart out.
