We try to negotiate
with a
wait and see
but
bullets fly past me
the living die near me
and the dead already
wait and see,

what's the bottom line?

time
with all its petty
jealousies
pitting
Samaritans
against the
Pharisees.
each ages individually,
some of each
disgracefully
I lean to propriety
and for that we'll
have to wait and see.
