I may have a gentle touch
but I am not at all weak.
All my life,
people have been
messing with me
and I've kept quiet
because I choose to,
they misunderstand
my calmness for weakness
because they really didn't
see my hidden strength.
They prefer  that
I stay In the corner
while they take the center stage
to show off their foolishness,
they forget that it is
better to be a wise fool
than to be foolishly wise.
I know the signs of rainfall,
I also know what it is called,
I am definitely not an idiot
and because I choose to step out
into the rain without an umbrella
does not make me a fool,
I own one and believe me,
I know how to use it,
maybe I love the rain
and choose to get wet;
that means I can
wipe myself dry
and not catch cold.
Let that sink in.
