Laying on a blanket by a roaring fire under the Milky way. I reach and hold your hand as a night chill comes over me. You roll close to me and I can smell the hay in your hair from the wagon ride we took just a short time ago. The light of the stars shines like a thousand jewels as you and I embrace. I pull up the blanket over us and I listen to you talk about each bright star as you drift off to sleep in my arms. I lay silent as you slumber, I can hear your heart beating and listen to you breathe. I focus on the brightest star and make a singular wish, that this moment beneath the stars will never end.
