Can I borrow your eyes for a bit
To see the world as you do?
It's not fair that you're so happy
When your world is falling apart
How can you smile as  they all walk away?
Your family?
Your friends?
Your love?
How can you live like that?

With no emotion left to feel
The world turns a dark gray
I see it through your eyes
A monochrome world
With nothing left to feel
Yet you smile bright...
Is it because you know?
Is it because you know your time is up soon?
Either way whether you know it or not
This view of yours makes me want to cry
