I love how your eyes glimmer beneath the starry night,
How your lips stammer when the freezing wind bites,
How your words are melodies I’ve been longing to hear,
How your warm embrace slowly dissipates my fears.

I’ve always wanted to find the right words to describe you,
Little by little they charmingly haunt me,
But they quickly dissolve into emptiness,
As words are never enough to elucidate your beauty.

I am not in love with what could’ve been,
I am not in love with what should’ve been,
I am in love with what we’ve been,
I am in love with what we would still be.
