Constantly you chirp
Just out of reach
Playing your violin
That keeps me from my sleep.

You play me into flash backs
Of all my longing days
Of all the lovers,
That have managed to escape.

Your melodic music
Pushes thoughts into my head
And all those things,
Push me farther from my bed.

Just put down your instrument,
And let my eyelids relax.
Just settle your restless legs
And allow me to collapse.
