Not a smile nor a soul-felt hug
In silence we both took our sighs

It is enough that you aren't near
It is saddening to not look into your eyes

It is heartbreaking to ache alone -
When we could be aching side by side

I could listen to your heartbeats
Whilst I inhale your every breath

But I'm left to listen to the drops -
Of my tears rolling down instead

It is unfair that you take away from me -
Your sadness that we've vowed to share

I always believed we felt not only for the joy
