Today my world is darker

There's a shadow on my mind

We lost another fighter

But, that's what God designed

He took our friend too early

We weren't set to let her go

But she's in a better place now

And we have to let her know

We are thinking of her always

And her fight, we'll carry on

Her battle against cancer

Is still a battle to be won

Tonight, the sky's a little brighter

Ruth will smile on our world

And her star will get much stronger

As the darkness is unfurled

We all feel slightly empty

Because we couldn't say goodbye

But, there's ways to overcome that

Just open up and try

We'll surely miss her smile

And the way she made us feel

I know this happened, quickly

It all just seems so **** surreal

But, keep her memory close now

She would not want us to fret

For in truth, she's the bestest Angel

That heaven's ever  gonna get

We know we all will miss her

And you know this is the truth

She's is no longer in pain now

It's time to say goodbye to Ruth.
