You left me with a kiss
Your good-bye was the sweetness on my lips
      The tenderness
             The warmth
The comfort that I found nowhere else
Every kiss after
          Poison on my tongue
A sour taste that couldn't be killed

Their lips nothing like yours
           It is not their faults
For you are the only one I truly loved
And for that every other mouth
Was like toxic waste on my lips
        Numbness at every battle
Knowing this was another fight my tongue would lose
     Out of disgust
I'm sorry that we kissed
  Because now I'm in withdrawal
And if I do not kiss one of my loves soon
       Every kiss may taste horrid
And I certainly don't want that.
