RIP

You're so close to me,

And yet you feel so far,

Gone much too soon,

and that's the hardest part.

I can't believe the fact,

That you've left this world for good,

I wish I'd spent more time with you,

And hugged you when I could.

Your smile lit up the nighttime,

Your frown dimmed the brightest of days,

You left for once but not for good,

I'll see you in a better place.

You had so much to live for,

You always exuded such life,

No matter how dark the times,

You could always find the light.

You may not be here anymore,

But you'll always be in my heart,

No matter how far away you may seem,

We'll never be apart.
