Today I was kept
In a cage, in a shell
Where I could not explore
Beyond confines and gates
Trapped with only myself
And mistakes that I make
To learn and gain nothing
But oven top smoke bombs
And torrential lullabies
Rainforests beckoning
My mountain air
To exhale the stale
Aftertaste of adventure
Expired in chains
Of a service indenture
