May 2017
I consumed the man in the mirror
Who stared so emptily into me.
The gaze which split this body into two
He is just but a whisper, long forgotten.

I could not tell you when,
But his weakness was delicious.
As he faded, I only saw myself
Nameless now, until the dawn begins.

I too, eat his words, wondering where
My own will be found.
Suppose a tear is shed, running slowly
Down my cheek.

We wonder, when we will find
Ourselves.
